Head Injury & Stroke outreach service

This service is for people in the York area that have experienced a stroke or severe head injury, or anyone that cares for someone that has. Our specialist adviser offers free help & advice on a range of issues, including household finances & utilities, benefits, debt, housing, family law, legalities where someone lacks capacity (e.g. deputyship), care arrangements, and related issues.

Many clients are referred to this project by NHS or social care staff or support organisations, but clients can also self-refer via the methods below.
