Don’t Miss Your Chance to Claim Pension Credit!
Pension Credit is a valuable benefit, providing an average of £2,677 a year to those who qualify. This is paid separately from your State Pension.
Claiming Pension Credit gives you access to other support, such as Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, social tariffs, the Warm Home Discount, reduced broadband rates, free TV licenses, lower water bills, and the Winter Fuel Payment.
With new changes to the Winter Fuel Payment, pensioners who don’t claim Pension Credit by 21 December 2024 will miss out on this additional support.
It’s estimated that about 450 households in York may be missing out on Pension Credit. That’s why Citizens Advice York is offering a Pension Credit Drop-In session every Friday at West Offices from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
